To connect Nova Post, you need to activate and configure a new delivery option. Customers will have a choice of post offices in Moldova, the Czech Republic and Germany when placing an order. The list of Nova Post operation countries will be expanded over time.
The settings are located in the Settings → Shipping methods and carriers section of the admin panel.
To work, it is necessary that the default country (Moldova, Czech Republic, Germany) is specified in the site settings or the country selection is enabled when placing an order.
How to set up Nova Post delivery
To set up this delivery method:
In Settings → Shipping methods and carriers, click on the Nova Post option.
If necessary, change the Title of this delivery option — customers will see it when choosing a delivery.
The Type field should be set to Novapost.
In the Payment section, select the payment methods that will be available to the customer when choosing this delivery option on the checkout page. By default, Przelewy24, Stripe and PayU are selected.
Set the Currency for delivery. By default, it is EUR.
In the Prices field, set the shipping cost for customers. How to do this is described below.
In the Country of delivery field, the Czech Republic, Moldova, and Germany, or some of these countries, should be selected.
When you have completed all the settings, activate the Active checkbox and click Save.
How to set up shipping cost
You can define the shipping cost as a fixed value or set the system to display the text According to carrier rates.
Starts from order total sum: the minimum order value which the shipping cost applies to.
Cost: fixed shipping cost.
By delivery carrier rates: if this checkbox is selected, the customer is shown the text According to carrier rates and the the shipping cost will not be added to the order amount.
Attention: if the Starts from order total sum field in the first line contains a number larger than zero, this shipping option is not available for orders with the value smaller than the one in the first line.
Example of setting up a shipping cost
Example: with the above settings for orders with a value:
up to €20 — this shipping option is not available;
from €20 to €100 — shipping cost is according to the carrier rates, the shipping cost is not added to the order amount;
from €100 to €300 — shipping cost is €15;
from €300 and above — free shipping.
Choosing Nova Post delivery option at checkout
When selecting a city when placing an order, the customer will see a list of parcel lockers and post offices available in that city.
Processing an order with Nova Post shipping
When processing an order, the site manager will see a list of parcel lockers and post offices in the selected city. At the moment, the integration does not provide the ability to automatically calculate and create electronic invoices.
