Ask for price option (beta)

How to configure the display of the Ask for price label on the Product page instead of a fixed price and the form for Ask for price

If for various reasons you cannot specify a certain Product price on the website, you can use the Ask for price option. The feature is available on all plans.

In this case, on the Product page and in the product mini card in the Catalog, the text Price upon request will be displayed instead of the price.

Instead of the Add to cart button, the Request the price button will be displayed; when you click it, a request form to inquire about the price will open.

How to set up the Ask for price option

To enable it, go to Settings General settingsProducts and turn on the Ask for price option checkbox, then save the changes.

How the Ask for price option works

After you set up the feature, the text Price upon request will be displayed for Products with a zero price.

If a Product has an availability status with the “Allow ordering” action, then instead of the Add to cart button, the Request the price button will be displayed on the page.

At the same time, other available buttons - Quick order, Buy on credit, installment payment blocks, and the counter for adding Products to the Cart - will not be displayed.

Please note:

  • Products with a zero price do not appear in the Cart block Recommended products in cart;

  • Products with a zero price are not included in product feeds;

  • Such Products are displayed in bundles without a price.

Ask for price form

Instead of the Add to cart button, on the Product page and in the product mini card in the Catalog, the Request the price button will be displayed; when you click it, the inquiry form will open.

The form settings match the Quick order form parameters defined in Settings General settingsQuick order.

After the form is filled out, a new order will be created in the website’s admin panel, and the site Manager will receive a standard notification, just like when placing a Quick order.
