Important: a product can have only one main category. If you do not plan to change it, but just need to display the product in several categories, specify additional categories for it. There can be as many as you want.

How to change the category for the product

In the Website → Pages section, check which product template is set for it:

  • The category in which the product is currently located;

  • The category to which you plan to move the product.

If the product templates in both categories match, you can proceed to making changes.

Important: If different product templates are set for the categories, transferring products will result in the loss of main and variant attributes that were filled in in the products.

To ensure that you can restore product data after changing the section, we recommend that you export the products in the Excel (advanced) format and export the attributes of the original template and save the file on your PC before making changes.
