For stores that deliver goods to customers in Romania, Cartum has implemented simple integration with the local FAN Courier delivery service.
There are two options for delivery with this service:
FAN Courier (Romania): Out of Home;
FAN Courier (Romania): Home Delivery.
The settings are made in the website admin panel, in the Settings → Shipping methods and carriers section.
For correct operation, it is necessary to set the default country (Romania) in the website settings or to enable the country selection when placing an order.
Selecting FAN Courier at checkout
When selecting FAN Courier: Out of Home during checkout, the customer will see a list of collection points in their city. When selecting the FAN Courier: Home Delivery option, they can enter their address (postal code, street, building, apartment number) in the corresponding fields.
How to enable and set up FAN Courier delivery
To set up this delivery option:
In Settings → Shipping methods and carriers, select either FAN Courier (Romania): Out of Home or FAN Courier (Romania): Home Delivery.
If necessary, change the Title of the delivery option — buyers will see it when choosing delivery option.
The Type field must be set to FAN Courier (Romania): FAN location for delivery to a collection point or FAN Courier (Romania): address for home delivery. Do not change this setting.
In the Payment field, select only those payment methods that will be available to the buyer when choosing delivery on the checkout page.
Set the Currency for delivery.
In the Prices field, set up the shipping cost for buyers. How to do this is described below.
In the Country of delivery field, Romania must be selected.
After completing all settings, select the Active checkbox and click Save.
How to set up shipping cost
You can define the shipping cost as a fixed value or set the system to display the text According to carrier rates.
Starts from order total sum — the minimum order value which the shipping cost applies to.
Cost — fixed shipping cost.
By delivery carrier rates — if this checkbox is selected, the customer is shown the text According to carrier rates and the the shipping cost will not be added to the order amount.
Attention: if the Starts from order total sum field in the first line contains a number larger than zero, this shipping option is not available for orders with the value smaller than the one in the first line.
Example of setting up shipping cost
Example: with the above settings for orders with a value:
up to 20 lei — this shipping option is not available;
from 20 to 100 lei — shipping cost is according to the carrier rates, the shipping cost is not added to the order amount;
from 100 to 300 lei — shipping cost is 15 lei;
from 300 lei and above — free shipping.
Processing orders with FAN Courier delivery
Currently, the integration does not provide the ability for automatic calculation and creation of electronic invoices.
