How to add a new currency
To set the currencies in which the prices of products will be displayed on your website, you need to go through several steps:
Go to Products → Currency rates.
Click the Add button.
Fill in the Title, Symbol, Abbreviation for decimals, Currency symbol placement, Show on storefront, Currency ISO code fields.
Click Save and Exit.
To disable a currency, go to Products → Currency rates, click the edit button ("pencil") next to the selected currency, and uncheck the Show on storefront box.
How to change prices when the exchange rate changes
If the exchange rate changes, all prices on the website can be updated automatically. To do this, just set the new rate in the admin panel.
Go to Products → Currency rates and select the desired currency.
In the Currency rates field, set a new value.
Click Save and Exit.
The reverse rate of the currency pair will be set automatically.
How to add multiple rates for one currency
If your suppliers use different exchange rates for the same currency, you can recalculate the prices of goods at a separate rate.
To do this, you need to add a new currency:
Go to Products → Currency rates.
Click the Add button.
In the Title field, it is convenient to specify not only the currency but also the supplier name, and in the Currency rates fields, you should specify the exchange rate at which this particular supplier works.
Click the Save and Exit button.
Now, when creating or editing a product, you will be able to choose a currency with the exchange rate of this supplier.
The exchange rates can be exported using the API.
How to set a separate currency for each language version of the site
You can set a different currency for each language version of the site. For example, RON for Romanian, PLN for Polish, and USD for English. The settings are made in the Settings → Languages section of the admin panel.
Currency selection in the site header
If necessary, you can add a currency switcher button to the header of your website that changes the currency for all products at once. To enable this option, please contact Support.
