Connect and set up online payments via the PayU international payment gateway

Updated over a week ago

PayU is an international processing aggregator that allows online stores to accept online payments from their customers using various payment options such as debit cards, bank accounts, etc.

With PayU, you can set up payments in your store in many different ways depending on the country in which your store operates.

Available payment methods

The list of payment methods that can be used via the PayU integrator depends on the country from which you plan to accept payments. Among the available methods are Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank card payments, payments through bank accounts, etc.

You can check which methods will be available for different countries in the documentation.

Cartum stores have a ready-made integration with PayU, which allows you to enable and set up online payments through this system in the store in a few simple steps.

To activate the integration on your website, you need to:

  1. Create and set up an account in the PayU system.

  2. Get credentials for each currency in which the store plans to accept payments.

  3. Specify the credentials in the Payment providers on the site.

  4. Set up the PayU payment method in Payment methods.

  1. Go to Settings → Payment providers and locate the PayU block.

  2. Enter the pos_id, client_id, and client_secret values for each currency in the appropriate fields.
