NETOPIA Payments is one of the largest Romanian payment services that allows you to accept online payments with Visa or Mastercard cards issued anywhere in the world.
Cartum has a ready-made integration with NETOPIA Payments.
Important to know:
The payment currencies available for NETOPIA Payments are RON, EUR, USD.
Available languages of the payment page are ro, it, hu, bg, ru, es, fr, de.
Activating NETOPIA Payments integration
In your NETOPIA Payments account, you need to obtain and save the activation keys:
Signature
Login
Password
Public key
Private key
Signature, Public key, Private key are POS IDs, Login and Password are the access parameters to your NETOPIA account.
In the admin panel of your site:
Go to Settings → Payment providers.
Enter data and upload files in the appropriate fields in the NETOPIA Payments block.
To make test payments, select the Test mode (sandbox) checkbox.
Save the changes.
Setting up a NETOPIA Payments method
If the website is set to the RON or EUR currency, the payment option will be displayed by default in Settings → Payment methods. In other cases, you need to create a payment option yourself.
To enable the Online payment (NETOPIA Payments) method:
In the Settings → Payment methods section, select the Online payment (NETOPIA Payments) method.
Make sure that NETOPIA Payments is selected in the Type field.
Enter a custom name if necessary and edit the settings.
Activate the payment option by checking the Active checkbox.
Click Save.
You can test the integration using test card numbers provided by NETOPIA.

After enabling and setting up a payment method, you need to select which shipping methods this option will be available for:
Go to the Settings → Shipping methods and carriers section and click on the desired shipping method to edit the settings.
In the Payment options field, select the Online payment (NETOPIA Payments) checkbox.
Click Save.
From now on, customers will be able to choose Online Payment (NETOPIA Payments) and proceed to pay for the order immediately after placing it or after the order is confirmed by the manager, depending on which online payment mode is enabled on the site.
Online payment modes
You can set up either of the two possible online payment modes:
Instant: if online payment by card is selected, the customer is directed to the payment system page upon clicking Proceed to checkout.
Pre-Moderated: the customer is provided with a payment link once the manager has confirmed the order.
The payment system generates a unique payment link for each order.
Payment link in the admin panel
In the table of orders, the manager can quickly copy the link to online payment to send to the customer who did not pay for the order immediately.
If online payment moderation is enabled on your website, a payment link is generated after clicking the Send payment link button. After that, you can also copy the link to send it to the customer additionally.
