Nexi is a leading Italian payment system that enables convenient online payments from customers on your store's website. It is mainly suitable for businesses operating in Italy.
A ready-made integration with Nexi is implemented in Cartum.
Important to know:
Besides Italy, Nexi operates in more than 25 other countries.
Only EUR currency is available with Nexi.
The language of the Nexi payment page is determined automatically. Available languages: ita, eng, spa, fra, ger, jpn, chi, ara, por.
Activating Nexi integration on your website
In your Nexi account, you need to obtain and save the keys for activation:

In your website's admin panel:
Go to Settings → Payment systems.
Enter the data into the relevant fields in the Nexi (Italia) section.
Setting up the Nexi payment method
If the Italian language is enabled on your website, a new payment option called Online Payment (Nexi Italia) will automatically be created under Settings → Payment methods.
If your website does not have the Italian language enabled, you can create this payment method manually, selecting the corresponding value in the Type field.
To set up the Online Payment (Nexi Italia) methods:
Go to Settings → Payment methods and select Online Payment (Nexi Italia).
Make sure the Type field is set to Nexi (Italia).
Optionally, set a custom name and adjust the settings.
Enable the payment method by checking the Enabled checkbox.
Click Save.

Once the payment method is set up and enabled, you need to choose which shipping methods will support it:
Go to Settings → Shipping methods and carriers, then click on the desired shipping method to edit its settings.
In the Payment field, check the box for Online Payment (Nexi Italia).
Click Save.
From now on, customers will be able to choose Online Payment (Nexi Italia) and proceed to pay for their order either immediately after placing it or after the order is confirmed by a manager, depending on the online payment mode enabled on the site.
Online payment modes
Your website can operate with one of the following two online payment modes:
Instant — when the customer selects card payment, they are immediately redirected to the payment system page upon clicking the Proceed to checkout button.
With pre-moderation — in this case, the customer receives a payment link only after the manager confirms the order.
A unique payment link is generated for each order by the payment system.
Payment link in the admin panel
In the general order table, the manager can quickly copy the payment link to send to the customer if the order wasn't paid immediately.
If pre-moderation is enabled for online payments, the link is generated after clicking the Send payment link button. Once generated, the link can be copied and sent to the customer again if needed.
