Now that you have categories and completed products on the website, you can enable the variant selection buttons.

In the Products → Product templates section, click the pencil next to the desired product template.

If you are not sure which template you need, open the product you want to set up and click the Edit attributes button.

Click the Options to switch on product page button.

From the left Options column, drag the parameters that should work as product selection buttons to the right Variants select form. For example, Size and Color. This setting will apply to all products in this category.

Now you can open the product on the website and make sure that the selection buttons are already available.
