Let's look at how to set them up step by step.

Step 1.

Go to the Products Product templates section of the admin panel. Make sure that the product template already has an attribute for the filter, and that it is of the type Number, Selection from list, or Yes/No.

Step 2.

Open the Website Pages section of the admin panel.

Step 3.

Click the wheel icon next to the category for which you're setting up filters.

Step 4.

Scroll down to the Filters section, click the List button to expand the available filters.

Step 5.

Check the boxes next to the attributes by which your customers will sort products.

Important:

  • The list of available attributes depends on the product template that is set for the category;

  • If the parent and child categories have the same product templates, the filters for the parent category will work for the child categories;

  • If at least one of the child categories has a different product template than the parent section, you will be able to configure only the system filters in the parent category (for example, Price, Brand, Color).

Step 6.

You can change the order of filters by simply dragging them in the list.

Step 7.

Save your changes.
