Connecting and configuring TikTok Pixel on the store's website, transferring standard events

Updated yesterday

TikTok Pixel is a counter of the TikTok Ads advertising system that allows you to collect data about visitors' actions on the website and then customize TikTok ads based on this data.

Pixel data can be used for:

  1. Creating marketing audiences — individual audiences based on user actions on the website;

  2. Optimizing ad delivery — targeting audiences that are more likely to take action on the website;

  3. Measuring campaign effectiveness — measuring advertising effectiveness and return on ad spend (ROAS) based on a number of specific conversion events.

You can install TikTok Pixel on your website by directly placing the counter code on the website or through GTM. Cartum stores already have the counter code installed and the transmission of standard events configured.

To activate TikTok Pixel on your website, you need to:

  1. Create a TikTok For Business account and make the necessary settings there.

  2. Copy the Pixel ID from the account and enter it in the settings of the marketing system in Cartum.

Creating and setting up Pixel in your TikTok account

Please note: at the step of selecting the event configuration mode, you must select Developer Mode.
