Design editor is a set of Cartum options that allows you to adapt our standard design themes to your corporate style and individual wishes, which makes your store more individual and impressive for customers.
In the admin panel of the site, all these options are collected in Website → Design → Design editor.
Using the settings in the design editor, you can:
Change the visual style and color of pages and individual elements of the site;
Enable and disable individual elements on the site pages;
Change the order in which some elements and blocks are displayed on pages;
Determine the number and order of banners;
Make certain changes separately for the mobile version of the site.
We've created the design editor to be intuitive and easy to use without any additional instructions. If you need a full description of all the features, you can find it in this section of the Help Center.
Overview of settings blocks in the editor
Below is a brief description of all the settings blocks in the design editor.
Global styles — general settings for colors and text elements. Here you can find the basic settings for colors, fonts, button display style, etc.
Header — settings for the structure of the site header, visual style and order of display of its components.
Footer — customization of the site's footer structure, visual style and order of display of its components.
Homepage — customization of the home page blocks, including banners, changing the order of display of home page blocks, enabling and disabling them.
Category page — settings for product catalog pages.
Product card on category page — settings for product cards on catalog pages.
Product page — customization of the product page structure and its visual style.
Mobile version — available separate settings for the mobile version are collected in this block.
Tips for working with a design editor
When you start working with your website, we recommend that you choose one of our ready-made themes that are created by designers taking into account all the needs of an online store. After that, with the help of the design editor, you will be able to adapt the chosen store theme to your preferences and corporate identity.
Please note:
Think in advance what colors you want to see on the website, decide on banners and elements you want to see on the home page, in the product card, etc.
To see the changes you made in the editor on the site pages, you need to save the changes.
You won't be able to undo edits made in the design editor. To revert to the previous version of the design, you need to set the appropriate values in the settings again.
Do not try to work with the editor on different devices or in different tabs at the same time.
