Activating and setting up online payments through the Monri Payments system

Monri Payments is a leading regional provider of payment services and cash registers operating in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, and Romania. Monri currently has more than 16,000 customers, including more than 5,000 online merchants.

Cartum has a ready-made integration with Monri Payments.

Important to know:

  1. Monri payments operates in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, and Romania.

  2. The following payment currencies are available for Monri Payments — AUD, BAM, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, MDL, USD, RSD, NOK, SEK, NGN, MKD, RON, HUF.

  3. Available languages of the payment page are hr, en, es, ba, sl, sr, de, ro, hu, al.

  4. The Monri system has certain requirements that must be met if you want to use the integration.


Activating Monri Payments integration

In your Monri Payments account, you need to receive and save the activation keys:

  • Key

  • Authenticity token

In your site's admin panel:

  1. Go to Settings → Payment providers.

  2. Enter data in the appropriate fields in the Monri block.

  3. Save the changes.

Setting up the Monri payment option

After activating the integration, you need to set this payment option up.

To set up the Online payment (Monri) option:

  1. In the Settings → Payment methods section, select the Online payment (Monri) method.

  2. Make sure that Monri is selected in the Type field.

  3. Enter a custom name if necessary and edit the settings.

  4. Activate the payment option by checking the Active box.

  5. Click Save.

After activating and setting up the payment method, you need to select which delivery options this method will be available for:

  1. Go to the Settings → Shipping methods and carriers section and click on the desired delivery method to edit the settings.

  2. In the Payment field, select the Online payment (Monri) checkbox.

  3. Click Save.

From now on, customers will be able to choose Online Payment (Monri) and proceed to pay for the order immediately after it is completed or after the order is confirmed by the manager, depending on which online payment mode is enabled on the site.


Online payment modes

You can set up either of the two possible online payment modes:

  • Instant: if online payment by card is selected, the customer is directed to the payment system page upon clicking Proceed to checkout.

  • Pre-Moderated: the customer is provided with a payment link once the manager has confirmed the order.

The payment system generates a unique payment link for each order.

In the table of orders, the manager can quickly copy the link to online payment to send to the customer who did not pay for the order immediately.

If online payment moderation is enabled on your website, a payment link is generated after clicking the Send payment link button. After that, you can also copy the link to send it to the customer additionally.
